Who Writes the Best Mobile Content?
by
Lynn Walford
Mobile content writers should be creative in their nature and be able
to invent new concepts. They are open and learn new terms quickly. The
ability to keep things short and sweet is also desired. The kinds of
backgrounds that stimulate these talents could be poets, cartoonists,
teachers, greeting card writers, email/text pros,
A simple test to see if you would make a good mobile content writer is to
look the blank screen of a mobile phone and start dreaming about what you
would love to see there.

Mobile Content Writers fill in the blank screen. |
What kinds of words would you like to see on the screen? How can you make it
clear and concise? How could you solve problems? How could you
help people?
How could you touch people's hearts? What kinds of information should
be available? How could you make it better or easier? Who would
love to see your mobile content? How much would someone pay for your
content? Is it valuable?
Good questions always lead to good answers. The next steps include
writing down the ideas and then marketing them to content
produces/providers.
What Makes
Good Mobile Content?
by
Lynn Walford
There are many ways to determine the value of mobile content. It has aspects
of different art forms in it, art/design, writing, drama/suspense and
entertainment. To judge the content we need to look at the following:
The purpose of the content - the need it fulfills.
The audience of the content - age, demographic, lifestyle.
The style of the content - does it match what the audience likes?
The emotional appeal and reaction to the content - yay or nay?
Good mobile content fulfills a need to an audience in a style that works for
the audience producing a positive emotional response and the desire to view
the content again.
Right now, the strongest sectors of the content market fulfill the need of
users to get addresses and phone numbers, something all mobile phone users
need at some point. As users adapt to the technology they will start
looking for other forms of content such as interactive greetings, networking
and entertainment.
No matter what form mobile content takes, the motto "K.I.S.S." applies,
"Keep It Simple, Succinct" for design, use and writing. Of course, the
content may be humorous, serious, or entertaining however, easy does it
best.
